Top examination results for St Cuthbert’s students
St Cuthbert’s College girls have once again
received top examination results with over 90% achieving
certificates endorsed with Merit and Excellence in all three
levels of NCEA.
98.2% of Year 11 students achieved Level 1 NCEA endorsed with Excellence or Merit, 94.7% at Level 2 and 90.2% at Level 3.
And for our graduating students, 96.6% gained University Entrance.
The College also offers International Baccalaureate and two students received perfect scores of 45, which places them in the top 0.3% of students worldwide. Only two other New Zealand students achieved this feat in 2014.
In total 11 IB students received a mark of 40 and above and were awarded Top Scholars’ Awards at a ceremony at Government House this month.
These superb results in both NCEA and IB have led to the offer of 47 tertiary scholarships to St Cuthbert’s students and means they have earned over $1 million in funding for university studies, in New Zealand and overseas.
Scholarships to international universities so far include two for Sydney University, three at Monash University and two sports scholarships to universities in the United States.
