Architecture/Built Environment best at the University of Auckland
The University of
Auckland has been confirmed as the best place in New Zealand
to study Architecture/Built Environment according to the
latest QS World University Rankings by
Subject.
Released today, the QS Rankings place
the University of Auckland number one in the country for the
discipline, and 44th globally out of 516 of the world’s
leading institutions.
Architecture/Built Environment has also moved up one place worldwide from 45th last year.
Published annually since 2011, the QS World University Rankings by Subject highlights the world’s best universities in individual subject areas, covering 40 academic disciplines.
“We are delighted to be recognised as the 44th best school of architecture and the built environment in the world. This reflects a lot of hard work by staff and students and confirms excellence in our teaching and our research,” says Associate Professor Julia Gatley, Head of School, Architecture and Planning.
Overall the University of Auckland was confirmed as the best performing in the country holding top place in 35 subjects.
The expert opinion of 76,798 academics and 44,426 employers informed the QS Rankings by Subject results, alongside the analysis of 28.5 million research papers and over 113 million citations sourced from the Scopus/Elsevier bibliometric database.
