Auldhouse launches New Zealand’s first live online technical training

6 July 2016 – Auldhouse, New Zealand’s premier technology training provider, has launched the country’s first live online training service for ICT professionals.

Auldhouse Anywhere gives customers remote telepresence access to Auldhouse’s award-winning classroom training from anywhere and increases the number of course dates, making them more accessible while saving them time and travel costs.

Travel expenses can make up a significant proportion of the cost of attending professional training particularly for organisations based outside major centres, says Auldhouse managing director, Melanie Hobcraft.

“Each dollar spent on travel costs like flights, hotel rooms and meals is a dollar that could rather be invested directly into professional development,” says Hobcraft.

“Auldhouse Anywhere provides our customers with the same high-quality Auldhouse training experience they have come to know and trust. It gives customers access to our industry-leading instructors, certified by the world’s top technology vendors, regardless of where they are based.”

In addition, Auldhouse Anywhere makes a far greater number of training courses available to organisations, enabling them to respond to technology changes faster.

“Our customers want access to training on the latest technology as soon as possible to be able to implement those solutions in their organisations,” says Hobcraft.

“With Auldhouse Anywhere, customers no longer have to wait for a course to be scheduled at their nearest Auldhouse training centre. They can now join an Auldhouse Anywhere class.”

As well as joining an Auldhouse Anywhere class from their office or home, students can also attend a class in Auldhouse’s training centres in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, led live by an instructor from a classroom at any other location.

Just as other Auldhouse courses, Auldhouse Anywhere classes are instructor-led and fully interactive. Students can see and talk to their instructor, view the trainer’s slides and whiteboard, ask questions, and even interact with fellow classmates. Auldhouse Anywhere uses the latest Citrix GoToTraining technology to provide a high quality, live virtual training experience.

Auckland Council recently attended a five day Auldhouse Anywhere course at Auldhouse’s Auckland Training Centre, led by an instructor in Wellington.

“At first we weren’t sure if virtual training would work for our people. However, we found that with Auldhouse Anywhere it was just like being in an Auldhouse classroom – because you are in an Auldhouse classroom,” says is Auckland Council network operations centre team leader Raj Yama.

“The time, effort and cost a service like Auldhouse Anywhere saves means we can send more people on training, more often.”

Auldhouse Anywhere is available now on a selected number of Auldhouse courses.
