Tertiary Education Commission recognises NZTC quality
New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) has been acknowledged by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) as one of the top private training establishments (PTEs) in the country.
The TEC recently released the 2015 Educational Performance Indicators (EPIs) and NZTC excelled with a first year student retention rate of 76% for 2014 in comparison to an average of 63% for PTEs and 72% for Tertiary Education Organisations (TEOs). NZTC also had a cohort qualification completion rate of a whopping 76% whereas the average for PTEs was 63% and 58% for all TEOs.
The College’s excellent EPIs, financial viability and top External Evaluation and Review (EER) rating has been recognised by the TEC with the College being granted the longest investment plan cycle possible. As a category 1 provider NZTC is one of only five of the big 15 PTEs to receive this acknowledgement.
NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox acknowledged the collaborative team effort that contributed to the outstanding results.
“It’s fantastic to gain this recognition for the hardworking NZTC team. It is a testament to the whole College including our academic staff, our operations team and our team abroad in India, China and beyond. The results reflect our complete commitment to providing an outstanding teaching and learning environment for our students,” said Fox.
