Celebrating design student success at DEBRIEF
Compost cookies, custom prosthesis covers and climate-safe housing - the variety of design briefs is anything but brief at this year’s Otago Polytechnic’s School of Design showcase.
DEBRIEF celebrates third year students’ final works as they prepare to embark on their creative careers. It spans interior, product, fashion and communication design.
This is the first year Otago Polytechnic has offered an Honours year and a Postgraduate Diploma in Design. The postgraduate students present a mix of fashion, food, soundworks, graphic design and textiles.
There is also a curated selection of first and second year work on display, plus special project exhibitions including the students’ digital video work for "Grounded" a play at the Fortune Theatre.
The ever-popular Pop-Up Market is back this year, with all sorts of student work on sale. From leather bags, to hand-printed T-shirts and ceramics … look no further for unique Christmas gift ideas!
From 5-6pm there will be an industry preview. This is where industry representatives can come in and talk to the students about their work. At 6pm, the doors will open to the public.
