Lincoln leads graduate employment figures
New figures show Lincoln University qualifications are highly effective in New Zealand for graduate employment.
In Ministry of Education statistics* released recently, Lincoln University Bachelor’s Degree graduate employment rates are consistently the highest among New Zealand universities over a nine year period.
Lincoln leads New Zealand universities for employability overall, and especially in programmes such as agriculture, commerce, and specialised areas like landscape architecture.
The figures, which pertain to 21 to 29-year-old graduates, also show strong results for Lincoln University diploma students. Between 90% and 100% of these students either continue into employment or further study after graduation.
Lincoln University Vice-Chancellor Professor Robin Pollard said the figures show Lincoln University is highly effective in preparing students for employment.

within their first year after graduation; the majority of
the remainder go on to further study or opportunities
overseas
70-75% of Lincoln University management and
commerce graduates will enter employment in their first year
after graduation, 15%-20% higher than for other university
programmes in the same field of study
55-60% of
agriculture & environmental graduates find employment in
their first year, with 35-40% continuing into further
study
65-70% of Lincoln University landscape architecture
students graduate and move into employment within their
first year, which is 25-30% higher than for other university
programmes in the same field of study
55-60% of Lincoln
University Diploma of Agriculture students continue in
further study.
