The Guide Dog Appeal is just round the corner and guide dogs and guide dog puppies want your support!

The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind (RNZFB) still needs at least 2100 volunteers nationwide to help collect donations for the street appeal which will be held from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 March.

“Guide dogs are an important mobility aid for our members, they give their handlers increased confidence and independence” says Jeanette Manson, RNZFB Divisional Manager, Fundraising.

“It’s important this appeal is a success as Guide Dog Services receives no government funding.”

“Without public support we simply wouldn’t be able to provide this invaluable service to blind and sight-impaired New Zealanders,” says Ms Manson.
