Negotiations Continue For South Island
Nurses, Midwives and Health Care Assistants

Negotiations for nurses and midwives employed by the Canterbury DHB adjourned yesterday after a day of talks.

The negotiations will resume on the 28th July.

Chris Wilson, New Zealand Nurses Organisation advocate for the Canterbury agreement, said today that during the break the parties would consider the respective claims and undertake further costings.

Negotiations for the South Island Nurses and Midwives Multi-Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) for nurses, midwives and health care assistants working in five DHBs across the South Island have also adjourned after meeting last week.

NZNO advocate Glenda Alexander said the South Island MECA negotiations would resume for two days of talks on 14th and 15th August.
