Product Recall Notice - Clearasil Sensitive Deep Pore Cleansing Toner 150mL, Batch No 2RR
Boots Healthcare New Zealand is issuing a notice to recall one batch (2RR) of its product "Clearasil Sensitive Deep Pore Cleansing Toner 150 mL."
The recall ONLY applies to product purchased in South Island pharmacies with the batch number: 2RR. The recall does NOT apply to this product purchased from South Island supermarkets, nor purchases made from any outlet in the North Island.
This batch of product is being recalled because a small number of bottles have been found to have been contaminated through post-production tampering. Use of contaminated product could result in skin irritation and perhaps tissue damage, however to date there have been no reports of any such incidents.
Sales and Marketing Manager for Boots Healthcare New Zealand, Lloyd Price said the recall was being undertaken in consultation with the Police and the Ministry of Health in order to protect consumers.
"The contamination of the product is a criminal matter under investigation by the Police and the Ministry of Health. Any consumer who is concerned about the use of this product should contact a medical practitioner for advice. Boots Healthcare sincerely regrets any inconvenience to customers."
