Public Open Day At Napier Health Centre

20 August 2004

Public Open Day At Napier Health Centre

The public of Napier will have an opportunity to tour through Napier Health Centre on Sunday 29 August 2004 between 10am -2pm, when Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB) and City Medical hold a public open day.

Chris Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, says the open day is an opportunity for the Napier public to see inside their health centre.

"We will be providing guided tours through the centre, allowing people to view some of the behind the scenes clinical areas and to get a feel for the range of services provided. I am sure many people will be surprised at the depth and breadth of activity that occurs on a daily basis at the Napier Health Centre” Mr Clarke said.

"It's going to be a great day and a really interesting opportunity for both the public and our staff to showcase the wide range of services available at Napier Health Centre," Mr Clarke said.

The open day includes displays, staff will be on hand to talk to the public about their work and tours of the clinical areas will running tours throughout the day (subject to availability, i.e. these areas are not required for patient treatment).

Thanks to the generosity of Briscoes, Print Solutions, Pollett Furniture, Toops, Canoe and Kayak and Bay City Gym, members of the public will have the opportunity to win some great spot prizes. The major prize, however, is the City Medical children’s colouring in competition – with the winner receiving a family weekend break in Rotorua for two adults and two children.
