College CEO to head new Families Commission
After four years as Chief Executive of the College of GPs, Claire Austin is moving on to become CEO of the newly-formed Families Commission.
Ms Austin has been part of the College’s successes in achieving an increased recognition of the value of general practice through active and effective advocacy; at the same time increasing the College’s focus on supporting members and the refinement of internal governance processes.
“Her contribution to the College during her tenure has been outstanding,” said president Dr Jim Vause. “She has set a very high standard. We appreciate the attraction her new role has for a dynamic person with such community and person focus, based on firmly held values. We shall all miss her presence.”
