Women worldwide asked to share their advice on motherhood
Vancouver, Canada, January 27, 2005 — From dealing with a spongy post-delivery tummy to figuring out how a breast pump works, life with a newborn is a rite of passage that, for most women, brings wonderful surprises as well as a whole new set of unexpected challenges.
Periwinkle Productions, a Vancouver, Canada-based company, is seeking moms worldwide aged 20 to 90 to participate in a book project on the art and wisdom of motherhood. The book’s author Tracy Todd specializes in personal development training and writing.
“Years ago, when we lived in tribes, new mothers had an extended community of other moms to provide word-of-mouth wisdom, but in a modern world, women don’t have the same access to that shared knowledge. They often have to figure things out for themselves, this book gives experienced moms a chance to remind new mothers they’re not alone,” says Todd, who recently became a new mom herself.
Join more than 100 women from around the world who have already contributed their advice to the project. When published, partial profits from the book’s sales will be donated to children’s charities.
Those interested in sharing their insight and experiences can e-mail tracytodd@telus.net to arrange a phone interview or request a written questionnaire.
