Kelt Capital Magpies roll up sleeves for the ultimate protection
When you’ve just earned a place in the premier division, you need all the help you can get and next Monday afternoon, the Kelt Capital Magpies; Hawke’s Bay’s representative rugby team, will each receive a boost to their defence in the form of a ‘shot’ in the arm, all in the name of protecting themselves against influenza.
Team manager David Stephenson says the team are rolling up their sleeves to receive the influenza vaccine to help protect them from the ‘flu’.
“We need every team member to be at peak performance this winter. The guys have spent the last six months getting themselves in top shape for the premier season. They are not willing to throw away the chance to battle it out this season with some of the best teams in the country simply because they didn’t take every precaution they could to keep themselves fighting fit,” he said.
Staff from City Medical will be joining the team at the Onekawa Aquatic Centre in Napier to vaccinate the team on Monday.
Says David Stephenson “We are planning on being the best we can be this season. Being healthy is more than eating well and exercising regularly – it’s also about being checked and taking the right health precautions.”
