Progressive Enterprises Launches Campaign To Raise Funds For Children’s Health
Progressive Enterprises will launch its Fresh
Future appeal at Christchurch Hospital on Thursday (23
August).
Christchurch Hospital is one of five hospitals across the country that are set to benefit from the appeal, which will aim to raise $1 million over three years for paediatric care in dedicated children’s wards across the country.
This year’s fundraising initiative will run for
eight weeks across Countdown, Woolworths, Foodtown,
SuperValue and FreshChoice stores nationwide.
As part of
this initiative, staff in Christchurch stores have organised
a variety of fundraising activities, such as raffles and
quiz nights, to raise money for the appeal.
Canterbury District Health Board Child Health Nursing Director Anne Feld welcomes the appeal. “We are delighted to be part of this inaugural initiative. We currently have 70 beds for children needing paediatric care and on top of this we need to finance distraction toys for the children, medical equipment, facilities and research. The Fresh Future contribution we receive will assist with this funding.”
Media are invited to attend the Fresh Future launch on Thursday at 11am at Christchurch Hospital. Please RSVP to Natasha Capon on (03) 364 4124 or email natasha.capon@cdhb.govt.nz
