CDHB statement re Villa Gardens

The Canterbury District Health Board has appointed a temporary manager to oversee Christchurch aged care facility Villa Gardens, to ensure that issues raised recently are thoroughly examined.

The manager is an experienced health professional with aged care experience and will be in place for approximately three weeks. The CDHB is also undertaking an audit of services provided by Villa Gardens.

“The safety and wellbeing of Villa Gardens residents is paramount. This process is intended to ensure the best possible outcomes for the residents, their families and the team at Villa Gardens,” CDHB Planning and Funding General Manager Carolyn Gullery said.
