Auctioning Off Big Hugs For Endometriosis
TVNZ Personalities Support Those With Endometriosis, By Auctioning Off Big Hugs
High
prole members of the TVNZ team are auctioning hugs
as
part of March Endometriosis Awareness Month,
supporting Endometriosis
New Zealand and all Kiwi
sufferers of the silent epidemic.
Ever wanted to just hug
Tamati Coffey or the cute Jack Tame?
How about Mark
Sainsbury, Greg Boyed or Neil Waka? Then
there are
TVNZ’s gorgeous presenters Pippa Wetzell, Karen
Olsen,
Renee Wright and Toni Street!
Well, now is your
chance because the TVNZ personalities have
joined the Big
Hug, an auction on www.sella.co.nz during March
to raise
funds and awareness of Endometriosis in New
Zealand.
“I’m all about hugs!” says Breakfast’s
Tamati Coffey; while TV1
News presenter Greg Boyed
promises to front up ‘with my hugging
action!’ Each
auction winner will also receive a tour of TVNZ
in
Auckland with 20/20 and One News presenter Miriama
Kamo.
“This is fun,” says Miriama. “It’s an
opportunity for New Zealanders
to support a fantastic
cause and get a Big Hug for their
efforts from some
bighearted stars!” she says. “I’m really
looking
forward to taking each successful bidder into
TVNZ to meet
their favourite presenter and get their Big Hug.”
Not only are Big Hug’s on offer, but The Big Hug
auction
includes other fabulous items. Want new wheels?
There is a
2009 SmartCar for a $1 reserve, a walk-on on
NZ’s favourite
soap Shortland Street and a singing
lesson with the beautiful
Kirsten Morell, former lead
singer of Goldenhorse, along with sporting
memorabilia,
fashion packages and celebrity experiences.
So join The
Big Hug and promote awareness of endometriosis to
help
all women and girls in your home, school, work and
community
to overcome this silent epidemic!
WHAT IS
ENDOMETRIOSIS?
Endometriosis (pronounced
‘end-oh-me-tree-oh-sis’) occurs when
tissue very
similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is found
in
places that it shouldn’t be outside the uterus.
It’s an often debilitating
condition affecting
thousands of NZ women and their families.
