Tunstall’s 10 Years of Telecare in Australia
On Friday 13 May Tunstall Healthcare celebrated 10 years of telecare to recognise the 10 years of hard work and support that it has offered to older and vulnerable people around Australia.
On 15 May Tunstall took the first of the 64,948 calls it would answer that year, not knowing the difference it would make to so many people’s lives.
Today, Tunstall takes around 608,000 calls every year, assisting with 600 major emergencies a week.
Roxanne Cox who has worked with the response centre since it opened was awarded the Enid Potter Memorial Award for Excellence for her outstanding commitment to Tunstall’s clients and the daily support and compassion she offers them.
Tunstall’s Australian General Manager Lyn McFarlane is proud of Tunstall’s success.
“Our anniversary of 10 years is a real milestone for us and is a time to reflect and remember the past and acknowledge our success to date in being able to provide a really important service to people who need us,” Ms McFarlane said.
“Our success is largely dependent on how we treat our work as not just a job and I see evidence of that everyday”.
Today Tunstall helps thousands of people answering calls for support and assistance.
Tunstall also provides specialty sensors to offer ongoing support and allow older and vulnerable people to live in their own home for as long as possible.
Ten Years of Telecare is a landmark celebration for Tunstall Australasia. While there have been many changes over the years, Tunstall continues to put people first.
