National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week
National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week
Sunday 31 July to Saturday 6 August is National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week, a week that aims to celebrate the achievements and generate understanding and acceptance of people living with the condition.
People living with Cerebral Palsy can anticipate the same life expectancy as those without the condition but like so many other Australian’s may need some extra support as they get older.
Tunstall Healthcare, the world’s leading provider of assistive technology provides personal alarms for people with special and ongoing needs, allowing them to easily make calls for assistance at any time of the day or night without having to disturb friends or family.
Traditionally activated via a radio trigger pendant that the resident keeps with them at all times, Tunstall also offers other tools and custom solutions that let those with varying abilities activate an alarm call with ease.
This could be an easy press adaptor that allows the radio trigger pendant to be activated without the need for precision touch, or other devices that only require light touch or tap to activate.
For those with more unique needs Tunstall can create custom solutions that ensure the resident can always activate an alarm call for assistance to speak with one of Tunstall’s 24 hour response operators.
