DHB and unions sign historic productivity agreement
An historic agreement has been signed between Counties Manukau District Health Board and three unions – the PSA, NZNO and SFWU – to work together on a programme to improve services and up productivity.
“The PSA is very excited about the signing of this document,” said the public sector union’s National Secretary Richard Wagstaff.
“It recognises the important role unions can play in improving service delivery.
“The PSA is confident that its members will see some real improvements in their work processes and patients will receive even better treatment as a result.”
“The DHB recognises the importance of continually improving its services to the public and understands that the unions that represent its staff have a key role to play in that goal.
One of the first campaigns the DHB and unions will work on jointly is the, Saving 20,000 Beds Days campaign that the DHB recently initiated,” says Richard Wagstaff.
