Have you ever struggled to open an every day item such as the milk; a , a pill bottle; a jar? , For many New Zealanders this is a daily challenge – for people with arthritis it’s an almost impossible task. So how does New Zealand move to provide frustration free packaging?

Ainslie Cahill, CEO, Arthritis Australia will share the Australian journey that has seen many businesses move to easier to open packaging at the Arthritis New Zealand conference on Saturday 5th March at Te Papa, Wellington.. What can we learn?

Arthritis affects over 620,000 New Zealanders and can strike anyone at any age.

There are over 140 different forms of arthritis and while there have been some treatment success, to date there is no cure.

“The open day is special this year as Arthritis New Zealand is celebrating its 50th year of supporting New Zealanders living with arthritis. Keeping up with the latest treatment therapies and changing with the times has been why we are still thriving today” said Sandra Kirby, Chief Executive Arthritis New Zealand.

The public open day takes place at Te Papa on Saturday 5th March, 2016 from 9am to 4.30pm.
