Nominations Open for Minister of Health Volunteer Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2016 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards. These awards publicly recognise the many outstanding volunteers who support New Zealand’s health and disability services.
Volunteering New Zealand endorses these awards as a fitting way to raise awareness of, and honour, the incredible contributions of health volunteers who inspire us with their care, dedication and hard work.
"These awards are an important way to recognise those in our community who dedicate their time and energy to volunteering in the health and disability sector," says Scott Miller, Chief Executive of Volunteering New Zealand.
Individuals and teams of volunteers who demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to health services in New Zealand can be nominated in one of five categories.
For more information about the Awards and nominations go to www.volunteerawards.health.govt.nz.
Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 8 April 2016.
The 2016 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards will be presented during National Volunteer Week from 19–25 June 2016, New Zealand’s largest celebration of volunteering.
