Speaking tour by Dr Charles Lapp

ANZMES (Associated New Zealand Myalgic Encephalopathy Society) is pleased to host a speaking tour by Dr Charles Lapp, Physician and Medical Director of Hunter Hopkins Centre in North Carolina, USA. Dr Lapp is widely recognised both nationally and internationally for his expertise in Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME) Society/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia and related conditions.

Dr Lapp a nationally recognized medical consultant to industry and the medical profession, has written numerous articles and spoken widely on diverse subjects, particularly Myalgic Encephalopathy Society /Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Dr Lapp is active in both civic and professional activities, state and county medical societies, as well as the American Medical Association and the Academy of Family Physicians. Dr Lapp, as an active Rotarian, was former President of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and, as a Jaycee, nominated the Outstanding Man of the Year in 1983. The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Duke University voted him 1985 Clinical Professor of the Year. Dr Lapp is a board member of the American Association for CFS and the American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association, adviser to ProHealth Incorporated, medical adviser to both the Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Association of America (CFIDS) and the National Fibromyalgia Association (NFA).

Dr Lapp’s lectures will be an overview of ME/CFS, diagnosis and best management practice, plus a look at the latest research on the illness which show promising results.
