    Labour Moves To Correct Problematic Building Act

    -On Thursday, just prior to recess, Labour slipped a Bill into Parliament to fix the problems with building codes in the Building Act 2004. National says the select committee now has only 12 days to consider the Bill. “It is disgraceful that before the ink has even dried on Labour’s new Building Act, amendments are being rushed through Parliament,” says National’s Building and Construction spokesman, Nick Smith.     Palestine Militants Agree To Calm/Power Deal

    Palestine's factions agree to
calm.GAZA - Palestinian factions meeting in Cairo today agreed to an extended period of calm with Israel, but conditioned it with an Israeli commitment to cease the aggression.
