[1] Despite Wellington fog causing delays and a change of city for the Labour Party list conference, the selection itself, whilst hard fought, was conducted with good humour and respect, according to Labour Party President Mike Williams. In a well signaled move, Waitangi Fisheries Tribunal Chairman Shane Jones was parachuted into the ranks of sitting MPs at number 27. Palestine Militants Agree To Calm/Power Deal

GAZA - Palestinian factions meeting in Cairo today agreed to an extended period of calm with Israel, but conditioned it with an Israeli commitment to cease the aggression.
