Of the land
That would be
Known as part
Of the New
Middle East
Imposed

And its shadow
Government Israel
Is Lebanon resisting
Cedar shorn but vibrant
With cluster bombs
Guided missiles
And other weapons
Of mass destruction
Determined to stamp
Out the Resistance
Born of blood spilled
From Occupation
Civil War
Refugees
From Al Nakba
Encamped waiting
For salvation
Born of agony and loss
The ancestral lands
Of Lebanon are not ready
For the plucking
Yet again
Israel cloaks her malevolence
In apologies massacres
Not intended but sanctioned

Children determined
