On the line to talk about recent comments by Sheikh Taj el-Din El-Hilaly, the Mufti of Australia and New Zealand. I'm sure you've all heard by now that he compared immodestly dressed women to uncovered meat (it's just asking to be eaten my neighbourhood cats). The Islamic Women's Council says the comments have nothing to do with the Muslim view of women.

North Korea - under pressure from China – has this morning agreed to return to nuclear disarmament talks. The announcement has eased tensions after the North's first nuclear weapons test three weeks ago. We'll have a chat to Professor Patman about how world powers are dealing with the North Korea situation.

To talk about their bid to be the site of a new $100 million dollar plus convention centre. They're proposing to build the project while they're fixing the Civic carpark – and they reckon it can be finished in time for the world cup rugby in 2011.
