Kamala Sarup: Mahatma Gandhi And Justice
Mahatma Gandhi And Justice
Kamala Sarup
I love your companionship, love, respect and non-violence action. I gather together the pages and again try to resume writing the story and show my respect you Mahatma Gandhi. If I am to say truly, you have written the meaning of forgiveness, non-violence and love.
You had stared at the peace and in your action wrote your forgiveness and love about unequal life and afflicting time. You wrote how violence produced complexity in life. You have understood the meaning of peace and freedom. The meaning of peace is to offer happiness.
Now, the evening was getting engulfed in darkness outside. People appeared at the street sparingly. The street can be seen clearly through my window. People are seen walking incessantly suppressed under their own busy needs. Here is some want, poverty and joy and richness. It seems as if they are in their gradual journey and are spending their great amount of time in life.
I know Gandhi, you used look up in the sky and try your best to lead life towards reality, towards forgiveness, peace and co-existence. The burden of looking after other's lives fell on your soldier; you became a hero. You are great.
In fact, life freedom and peace does mean a difficult journey and this journey is always an infinite. It was that you had wished to be a prestigious and successful person. Therefore, you worked to bring light in life. Life and peace means to struggle and you did such a struggle. You had made journey so pleasant in poverty and imbalanced situation.
Gradually your life started towards some mode. You spent many years in success and transitional state. You fought for your nation. You started a new life there improving all social discrimination and boundaries. You were a kind-hearted person and become prestigious too. Because now you are known as a 'kind man' 'Peace man' in the World. And you had dreamt about many things in life, struggling life, and a peaceful nation, non-violence action and Independence, so I respect you. You make complete your uncompleted journey that you had started.
Nowadays, I look up in the sky from the top of the house until 10-11 o'clock in the night. I keep watching at the shining moon and weeps feeling that the night is for me.
I prayed to God daily that you should come to our life again. Your personality and talent gave me more power within all the time.
Sometimes I have terrible pain in my heart when I see war and terrorism. How could I participate in people's pain? I feel especially sad when I see children are being killed. I am severely disturbed from within as an individual.
I keep walking for peace and justice now, and at the walls, status, banners and crowds I try to search the meaning of your words persistently. To feel hatred, disbelief towards war and terrorism and escape by not being able to know myself might be my weakness. Gandhi, at this time you show me the path of peace. Now I find destination.
I know, you have said that the meaning of the peace is made not only mean to write, read and speak. There are variety of purposes of peace and non violence action: some are meant to talk, some are meant to write, some are meant to imagine, and some are meant to keep into the heart and preserve. Those which come in use, are used but the word preserve should be taken with more care because if one selects it superficially and outwardly, it gives more pain and happiness. Of course, you have showed the reality.
Days are being gone within this room doing nothing. I have not been able to do any special work except reading and re-reading your books. Everywhere there are frustrations, sadness and gloom. Knowing that this young age is for creation for thinking some new ideas, and for making oneself active for immortality, why and how now I am here standing at the point heading towards a perennial responsibility and vision on peace and non-violence.
These days, I have begun to be afraid with the shadows of war and terrorism.
Those days were important when you used to make clear within few words about revolution, change, and economic problems. Now becoming able to write about you, about your compassion.
I see birds flying up to the far distance, they have a definite destination. I had thought at that time while you had written "only peace, and love will protect you".
In other additions, we have hands, mouth, thought or our every activities which are always in motion, and that's what is called life. This also could be a meaning in life to search for an easiness but to some extent there should be continued dry and a confused living in the journey. While I am writing, my heart became eager to listen to these of mountain, hill and falls, and all the crying and happiness with your great action.
I always love You Gandhi, I always respect you.
