1220 – Richard Lewis,
Gordon Copeland Destiny no more
I've been trying all morning to get in touch with either Gordon Copeland or Richard Lewis to talk about this new all-for-one-and-one-god-for-all Christian party they're putting together, but nothing concrete just yet. So, hopefully I'll be talking to one of these two at 1220, and trying to get to the bottom of the so-called sniping that's been going on regarding just who's going to lead the party.
1240 – Kevin Hackwell, NZ Forest and Bird
Society
At 1240 I'll be speaking with Kevin Hackwell from the NZ Forest and Bird Society. A couple of days ago Hoki fishery was given the big tick for sustainability by the governing body. But apparently, it scraped through by the skin of its teeth, and Kevin says the decision is basically a mockery. Something to listen to as you tuck into your filet-o-fish...
1305 – Marilyn Waring, NZ Women's Suffrage Day
At five past one Marilyn Waring will be on the line to talk about her new book, released very auspiciously today on NZ Women's Suffrage Day. The books called Managing Mayhem: Work Life Balance in NZ, and in it Marilyn talks about the huge amount of unpaid work which drives our economy, but in being legally unrecognised, amounts to human rights abuse. Golly!
1320 – Counterclockwise
Counterclockwise at twenty past one, and today Selwyn Manning from scoop is back in the hot seat. We'll be having a chat about the somewhat shambolic de-registration on the Destiny Party, and how this bodes for the launch of the new Christian party with messers Tamaki, Copeland and Lewis.
1340 – Rex Gilroy, Australian Cryptozoological Reseach Centre
And to finish the show around one forty I'll play an interview I did this morning with Rex Gilroy from the Australian Cryptozoological Reseach Centre. Rex is on his way to NZ in November to prove the existence of the Moa. That's what cryptozoologists do you see, try to prove the existence of animals for which there is scant evidence. Like Moa's: extinct? Rex doesn't think so...
