1:00 Footsteps of Fire
Writer and news producer Angus Gillies has taken it upon himself to publish a three volume series called Ngati Dread, about the little-known Ruatoria Rastafarians who made their intimidating presence felt in the East Coast town between 1985 and 1990. Gus will drop in for a chat about what it was like writing the books and why he thinks it was so important to document this little corner of history.

1:40 The Green Desk
Today Simon will be talking to Kevin Hackwell, Conservation Manager at Forest and Bird. With the general rise in temperatures year after year, NZ's native plants and animals are being forced to adapt to a new ecology. Kevin will give us an insight into how they are coping.

Aucklanders can tune in at 95 on the FM dial.
