Datacraft Celebrates 30 Years Of Innovation In New Zealand

Datacraft New Zealand hosted an executive client function on the 13th of November to celebrate its 30 years anniversary and innovation in New Zealand. The Datacraft Sales and Management team hosted a range of key clients including Accident, Compensation Corporation, Department of Internal Affairs, FX Networks, IAG, IRD, Telecom and Transpower.

The event was held at the Academy of Fine Arts on the Wellington waterfront amongst an exhibition of the Da Vinci Machines. Datacraft selected this environment that celebrates innovation to recognise their 30th year history in the NZ market.

The event was an opportunity for Datacraft to highlight their capabilities with a focus on showcasing Unified Communications. Cisco’s Webex collaboration software was used to connect with a graphic artist, Andrew Mamo, working remotely from Sydney. Guests were able to view him crafting images that related to the event. The collaboration tools also allowed guests to communicate with the artist directly. The artistic collaboration was part of a Unified Communications Imagine-if campaign by Cisco Systems. The final artwork (below) incorporates a range of images of Da Vinci machines with Wellington harbour as back drop.

Secondly, Datacraft announced that they are working together with Cisco and TV3 on a Unified Communications Business Make-over. An Auckland based design company called PROcreate won a $50,000 makeover from Cisco. Datacraft will be designing and implementing the solution to enable PROcreate to collaborate and communicate with their suppliers, partners and customers.

At the end of the night, a USB TV tuner for Digital Freeview was gifted to each client to enable them to follow the Make-over progress.

For guests who were looking for something with a bit more fun, there was an interactive quiz station and a Nintendo gaming area. At the end of the night, a winner for the Datacraft Quiz won a night’s accommodation at the Martinborough Hotel and the winner of the interactive gaming took home a Nintendo wii.
