12:20 - "Scalp them all" (Chris Budge, Trust and Safety Manager Trade Me)
Kicking off the show we get stuck into a thorny debate that isn't just affecting music fans, but fans of many events across the country. Ticket scalping has often been frowned upon as "opportunistic", making a quick buck or in some cases a quick hundred bucks, by offering tickets for events at a vastly inflated price. With some ticket outlets offering the chance to bulk buy up to 50 tickets for events at a time, could be looked upon as providing entrepreneurial re-sellers a chance to rake it in. I talk to (above), to discuss efforts that could provide to stop this practice happening - perhaps working alongside ticket outlets to monitor this might be the case, and what of the impact it may have on other events.
12:40 – “Closing Time” (Aaron Bhatnagar, Chaiman of the City Development Committee, Auckland City Council)
At 12:40, it's all about closing times and in particular those not part of the "entertainment" precincts. Under new plans the city council are looking into regarding liquor laws, bars outside the CBD and precincts in Newmarket, Mission Bay, Parnell Rd and Ponsonby Road will have to close their doors by 11pm. That means potentially the Kings Arms, one of the most prominent concert venues in Auckland, will be affected - and as owner Maureen Gordon discussed with Mikey this morning, could spell problems for the venue and for Auckland music. I'll be talking to (above) regarding the motivations behind the proposed changes and this whole situation.
1pm: Counterclockwise (Spike Mountjoy, scoop.co.nz)
At 1pm, Spike Mountjoy from the Scoop team joins us over the phone for Counterclockwise - this week we talk about the redeployment of NZ SAS troops in Afghanistan and our responsibility to prisoners while they are there, PLUS the ongoing Emissions Trading Scheme saga. The National Government regularly refers to balancing our economic opportunities with our environmental responsibilities. Whose economic opportunities? As it stands, the ETS shafts the tax payer to the tune of millions, if not billions of dollars. Also, announced today, the US looks likely to back a global research initiative into climate change research in the agriculture and food science areas - a New Zealand initiative

1:40pm - AotearoHA (James Nokise, comedian)
At finally at 1:40, we talk to Welsh-Samoan, yes I did say that correctly, comedian James Nokise about the upcoming show AotearoHA - The Tiki Tour Edition, taking place October 9th. James is one of a number of comedians converging to the North Shore to give audiences a tiki tour of their respective areas, building perhaps a actual "wiki" on the night of places and areas across New Zealand. Where is James going to discuss, and given spending an amount of time cutting his teeth in the United Kingdom as a comedian, is his outlook of the area in question going to be compartive to his time spent in the
