1300 Health Minister Tony Ryall

Up to 500 jobs in health administration will be cut as the government sets up a new National Health Board to supervise district health boards' spending. Health Minister Tony Ryall says the creation of a NHB within the Ministry of Health will see around 180 staff go at the Ministry and up to 320 from District Health Boards. This will apparently lead to a saving of $700 million over the next five years which can be reinvested in frontline services.

1330: Dear Science with Peter Griffin

Peter Griffin from the Science Media Centre will discuss the latest going on in the science and technology world.

Aucklanders can tune in at 95 on the FM dial.
