Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano
erupts - image taken at 11.55AM GMT

Iceland's
Eyjafjallajökull volcano has quietened down again and air
services have resumed in the United Kingdom today. In the
above image the greatly reduced plume can be seen coming off
Iceland from the top left of the image. The United Kingdom
and Ireland can be seen in the bottom right. While the plume
is directed towards the UK its intensity is considerably
reduced from that seen in a satellite image taken 24
hours earlier.
