If we want to embrace the technology era, we have to be at least in the neighbourhood of the cutting edge.

Because NZ deserves to be up with the rest of world in the technology and having fast effective internet will make life on the net quicker to achieve what we need to. Why should NZ be left behind!

NZ is simply behind the rest of the world. In today’s age customers expect service. Our current internet speed is lacking any element of service.

Hi, I live rurally and am unable to get broadband. We run a small home business from home and can only get dial-up which makes it incredibly difficult to source information from the web and even download emails from customers. Satellite is really expensive and not viable as we are a small company. Also mobile broadband has no coverage so we are stuck.

I had fibre back to Russia and it was great speed and reliable connection. Here, in NZ broadband is very, very slow and I'm very dissatisfied with it.

Come on NZ! We gotta get ahead of the game! Get some fibre up in here and show those other countries what we're really about! Just make sure we get a decent unlimited download plan to go with it.

I work a lot from home and am constantly down and uploading large files. I live in an area where we have very limited broadband speeds so it would make me much more productive if I had faster speeds.

About The Vector Fibre Debate

The Government plans to give New Zealand a complete fibre to the door ultra-fast broadband network. Vector thinks that’s a great idea and is hoping to help them do it and Scoop.co.nz also thinks its something well worth discussing.
