Scoop's Selwyn Manning and Radio Adelaide's Peter Godfrey
discuss how New Zealand's soccer World Cup team, the All
Whites, have returned unbeaten to a heroes welcome. New
Zealanders have enjoyed realising the All Whites had become
the darlings of the world's news networks.
Also, a tale of
a long lost aunty has had a good ending with Aunty Ethel
Helmbright having been found alive, living rough for ten
years, in Hawaii. Aunty Ethel left New Zealand about 20
years ago and was not heard of again. She is the great
grandaughter of a Rangitira (Chief) who signed part fo the
Treaty of Waitangi. Aunty Ethel is expected to return to New
Zealand in the coming weeks.
