NRC: Earthquake shook ground harder than Va.
nuclear plant designed to withstand 08 Sep 2011 The
Aug. 23 central Virginia earthquake shook the North Anna
nuclear power plant harder than it was designed to
withstand, officials from Dominion Virginia Power told the
Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Thursday. The plant is
located on the shores of Lake Anna, 12 miles north of the
epicenter of the 5.8-magnitude earthquake, the largest in
Virginia in more than a century. The dual-reactor at the
North Anna facility experienced "strong" ground motion in
the north-south direction for about three seconds during the
August quake, said Eric Hendrixson, director of nuclear
engineering for Dominion. [BTW, the PentaPost already
changed its headline to more 'Dominion-friendly' titling.

AP: Kuwait may host US Iraq backup force 08 Sep 2011 The Obama regime is considering staging American troops in Kuwait next year as a backup or rotational training force for Iraq, after the Pentagon completes the scheduled withdrawal of its current 45,000-strong force from Iraq in December, U.S. officials said... Another option under Pentagon consideration is positioning a small U.S. combat force in Kuwait that could rush into Iraq in the event of a security problem or to target an insurgent threat, two officials said. Another possibility is to retain in Kuwait some of the U.S. ground combat equipment that is being pulled out of Iraq, instead of shipping it back to the U.S. ['Rush into Iraq in the event of a security problem?' Obama's 'jobs plan' includes tax breaks for businesses 08 Sep 2011 President Barack Obama outlined a $447 billion 'jobs plan' Thursday night that would reduce payroll taxes for workers and small businesses. The plan also would eliminate payroll taxes for businesses that hire additional employees or increase wages for current workers. The president also wants to give a $4,000 tax credit to businesses that hire workers who have been unemployed for six months or more. The plan, delivered to a joint session of Congress, also calls for extending into 2012 a current tax break that allows small businesses to immediately write off 100 percent of their investments in new equipment.
Obusha is about to speak. Should I watch 'Criminal Minds' or 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent?' By Lori Price, www.legitgov.org 08 Sep 2011 Oops! I just realized that if I choose Obama, I'd be watching 'Criminal Minds' either way! Seriously: Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama *all* desire to destroy Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The only difference is, Rick Perry is honest about his intentions. Perry and Romney didn't establish a Super Dictatorship (aka Cat Food Commission II) to eliminate Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid -- Barack Obama did. If he wanted to avoid the Tea Party-imposed 'debt ceiling crisis,' he would have invoked the 14th Amendment and called it a day. Barack Obama is begging Congress: 'Please, please, please accept your Republican proposals! Please pass more corporate tax breaks and more cuts to Medicare and Medicaid so I can be accepted and liked!' Primary Obusha in 2012!
