Images & Report by Charles SneidermanAdvaMed assists international medical technology companies in adapting their products to the US market. NZ Ambassador to US Michael Moore hosted a reception at the embassy in Washington featuring the contributions of NZ based companies for the AdvaMed annual Tech conference. Connie Lawn and I met spokespersons for some of the NZ companies with novel medical technology products.
They included Natasha Williams whose Auckland company, Impactware, has developed hip protectors for active people who are at increased risk of hip fracture; Connie wishes she had Impactware's women's shorts last year before a fall in a ski field that resulted in a hip fracture.
