OneNote improves for web users

Microsoft's OneNote is great for note-taking, storing and organising snippets of information. There are great apps for smartphones and a Windows-only that comes as part of Microsoft Office.

OneNote gets a little harder for those of us who use a non-Windows laptop but not much, there's a decent Office web application.

Over the weekend Microsoft  refreshed the web version of OneNote with a simpler interface.

In the past finding notebooks meant digging around in SkyDrive - which incidentally is now called OneDrive. Now you can log-in to onenote.com to get immediate access to your notebooks.

The change - and SkyDrive's rebranding - are all part of a bigger refresh of Microsoft's online apps which apparently will go by the name of Office Online.
