Protesters have scaled the Parliament building this morning to protest the Government's climate policy.
The four Greenpeace campaigners placed themselves and eight solar panels above the main entrance stairway, then unfurled a banner targeting the Prime Minister. [Greenpeace press release]

The activists climbed scaffolding used for maintenance work on Parliament. They have been issued with trespass notices.
They were watched by a cluster of media, a small police and security presence, passing civilians, and the occasional MP. One MP with a foreign guest was heard to remark, "We don't get this very often."
