A fire in the Hawke's Bay Opera House and several fires in bins in Hastings last night may have been connected.

Firefighters were called to the blaze, on the ground floor of the three-storey Opera House just after 10pm.
It was put out about three hours later.
The fire started at the back of the building in the service entrance and firefighters cut a hole in a roller door to get into the building.
There are no reports of injuries.
But Fire and Emergency said the fire in the historical building may have been linked to other fires.
The police are now involved.
