Greens Surge in Latest Herald Poll
The Green Party have surged to just under the five per cent threshold in the latest New Zealand Herald-Digipoll released this morning (Friday).
The Greens are up from 2.9 per cent to 4.6 per cent which, if co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons wins the seat of Coromandel, would get five MPs into parliament.
A TV One Colmar Brunton poll this week showed Fitzsimons ahead in the seat.
The Digipoll puts Labour on 33.4 per cent, down three, while National has dropped two to 31.7 per cent.
ACT is up one to 10.5 per cent and the Alliance has slipped a little to 7.8 per cent. NZ First is up one to 6.5 per cent and Christian Heritage has now registered on 2.8 per cent.
This poll again leaves NZ First holding the balance of power.
The poll was of 853 voters with a 3.3 per cent margin of error. The poll was of decided voters, with seven per cent polled still undecided.
