The move has attracted criticism from the opposition and farmers. Associate Finance Minister Trevor Mallard says tariffs will not change unless there are clear benefits for the country.

GUILTY PLEA:Wanganui man has pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter following the death of a woman in the city after a police car chase. Rikki Maru, a 24-year-old unemployed man, appeared in the Wanganui District Court on Tuesday.
