Cut Off – Animal Cloning – Suicide Bombing – Nursing Shortage

CUT OFF: About 400 homes have had their power cut off by Wellington power company FreshStart because of its hard line on late payers, its general manager Chris Baker confirmed yesterday.

ANIMAL CLONING: The Government’s biggest science company AgResearch, has been granted a licence to clone livestock commercially.

SUICIDE BOMBING: At least 19 people, six of them children, were believed killed and more than 70 wounded when a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up early today in a crowded Jerusalem restaurant during lunch hour.

NURSING SHORTAGE: Hospitals are facing a national shortage of 2000 nurses, meaning more operations may be delayed.
