Family Friendly Parties Support Four Weeks Leave

United Future have forgotten that four weeks leave is the most family friendly policy before Parliament at the moment, in the light of their release this afternoon calling on opposition parties to 'put genuine effort into their commitment to the needs of New Zealand families', says Matt Robson, Progressive Deputy Leader.

"The Progressives remind United Future that they should be supporting my Four Weeks Leave Bill if they truly support family friendly policies.

"Not only is Four Weeks Leave the most family friendly policy before Parliament, but it is also a policy that will help those families most in need of a break because it is families on low incomes that will benefit the most from an extra week of annual leave.

"I invite the United Future party to join the family friendly parties in Parliament who will be supporting four weeks annual leave. I can only assume they will do the decent thing and either vote for my bill, or desist in calling themselves family friendly," said Matt Robson.
