Radio Z Hits The Nadir Of The Moral Alphabet

24 November 2000

Graham Capill
Party Leader

Party Leader Graham Capill has criticised Radio Z for what he says is an “irresponsible competition that encourages youth to focus on the dark side of life and aims for the nadir of the moral scale.”

Radio Z has been offering young people a free Marilyn Manson CD, entitled “Holy Wood”, after they have answered a simple question.

Mr Capill said, “Why put such a diabolical CD in the hands of confused, mixed up young people? Do we really want to encourage the cynicism and religious hatred contained in the tracks of this CD?”

Tracks include:

 Disposable teams
 God eat God
 In the Shadow of the Valley of Death
 Crucifixion
 The Fight Song
 King Killing

“That the station’s own promotion appeals to that which is dark, satanic and evil, must be of concern to any thinking person.

“Given that many young people face dark situations in their own lives, Radio Z would be much better advised to give away what is uplifting and excellent instead of the evil trash of Manson.” Mr Capill concluded.
