Cullen Calls Morality 'Silly'!
The world's silliest Finance Minister Michael Cullen this morning described the idea of tax breaks for those with private health insurance as "silly."
"Well, silly me!" says Libertarianz leader Peter Cresswell.
Cresswell responds with the argument that "if I pay my taxes with the expectation that I will get treatment if I fall sick, and this treatment then fails to transpire (as we hear everyday that it so often does) then it is apparent that my money has been taken under false pretences." This, he points out, "is outrageously silly. Worse, it is a fraud!"
So how can anyone avoid this silly fraud? Perhaps by opting out of the public system and making our own arrangements? "Uh oh, though!" says Cresswell. "There's a problem with this too - I'm now paying for services I will definitely not receive, so the fraud is not just a possibility - it's a certainty. Now that's extremely silly."
To correct this silly situation there is only one solution claims Cresswell: "Mr Cullen, I want my money back!" he says. "What's that you say, Michael? Don't be so 'silly'? It's a 'silly' idea, you say? Indeed it is not, Mr Cullen. It is in fact a logical idea, and utterly moral."
Cresswell slams Cullen's notion that morality is "silly," but notes that it is hardly surprising the word's silliest Finance Minister is also morality-challenged. "Thank goodness there is one party that understands that force and fraud are wrong," says Cresswell. "The Libertarianz are the only alternative for those of us who are sick and tired of being viewed by the government as 'silly.'"
"It is indeed enough to make you vote Libertarianz!"
