Right To Life opposes the Morning After Pill

Right To Life opposes the Morning After-Abortion Pill

Right To Life- New Zealand
Political Sub Committee
Press Release

The political decision by the Minister of Health, Annette King to allow Pharmacists the use of the so-called 'ECA' or Emergency Contraceptive Pill demonstrates the pervasive influence of the New Zealand Family Planning Association (FPA) on Government institutions. This week Pharmacies around the country are allowed to sell the ECA pill over the counter. The pill is an aborticient which means it kills human embryo (the unborn child). Right To Life-New Zealand opposes this move. The Government should, for the sake of humanity, reverse this anti-life decision.

The FPA has hidden the truth about the ECA which should be called the "The Morning After-Abortion Pill". Studies have shown that this hormonal pill prevents implantation of the fertilised egg (genetically a human being). Even their own kin state this occurs. The Alan Guttmacher Institute's Family Planning Perspectives made the same observation in 1995:"Emergency contraceptive pills, also known as morning-after pills, are a postcoital hormonal treatment that appears to inhibit implantation of the fertilized ovum" (C. Harper and C. Ellertson, "Knowledge and Perceptions of Emergency Contraceptive Pills Among a College-Age Population: A Qualitative Approach," 27 Family Planning Perspectives 149 [July-August 1995]). It is this abortifacient mode of action that EC proponents often downplay. Death of the embryo is a result of malnutrition. The FPA are not fully imforming the NZ public not only on this but on many aspects of their work. They cannot be trusted. Helen Clark's art forgery pales in comparison.

Currently there appears to be no organisation that will speak out on this important issue. Right To Life New Zealand challenges the Labour Government and the FPA. Unfortunately this Labour Government and its cohort, the FPA, are frenetically trying to open the lid on a number of evils including legalising Prostitution, hate crimes, the infamous Civil Union bill where gays and Lesbians enjoy the same status as married men and women etc. Our PM is on record as attempting to give ordinary doctors the status of abortion certifying Consultants.

Right To Life-New Zealand believes that the NZPA is part of the culture of death. They are a withered branch of International Planned Parenthood Federation- a monster created by the infamous eugenics advocate Margaret Sanger. Planned Parenthood should send shivers up the spine. They are directly involved in the abortion business in the US by operating their own abortion clinics. Clearly for the heath and welfare of the average New Zelander the FPA should not be funded by the New Zealand taxpayer.

The FPA enjoy NGO status (Non Governmental organisation) so they are not answerable to the New Zealand tax payer. They have great influence in cultural (eg the Vaginal Monologues-see their website), Education (they were the prime mover in getting Health as a core subject in High Schools which has a FPA-type sex education component). They were instrumental in bring abortion to our Isles and they want to do everything in their power to keep it that way. The NZ public need to wake up to the fact that this organisation is not a benign matron-it is a crone.

The FPA has attacked the current Bush administration for stopping funding of family planning 'birth control' to places like China. The FPA calls this a 'Global gag rule'. Obviously they are quite content to see China enforce the one child policy with forced abortions and violence to Chinese women. Yet this same organisation supports the V day (Vaginal Monologues-see their web site http://www.fpanz.org.nz/) which apparently is celebrated to highlight the violence to women in our society. This is a hypocritical stance. This facade of the FPA being for women will eventually fall and people will see that the FPA has no clothes.

Right To Life- New Zealand (www.right-to-life.org ) not support the anti-life policies of this Labour Government or the FPA. Right To Life-New Zeland fight on behalf of defenceless unborn New Zealanders. The Unborn baby does not have a voice-we intend to speak on their behalf.
