"Get On The Roll" Says Nandor Tanczos - NORML Agrees
The National organisation for the Reform of Marijuana Laws is urging supporters of cannabis law reform to get on the roll and vote this election.
NORML spokesperson Mike Harding says, "It is vital for cannabis users who no longer wish to be criminals to take part in the election. Get talking to your colleagues, friends and family and make sure they are eligible to vote on polling day.
"No votin'... no bitchin'!"
NORML News chief reporter Jonathan Rennie says, "We are running a realistic campaign: grassroots resistance to the law at the base and change in political leadership at the top. You can not have your say about political leadership if you are not enroled to vote."
In a June 12 press release, Green MP Nandor Tanczos launched his skateboarding "Get on the Roll Campaign" urging all New Zealanders over 18 to
enroll and get involved with the political process.
"The Green's enrolment campaign is aimed to get young people... on the roll, but the same message applies to all New Zealanders," says Tanzcos.
Mike Harding adds, "The cut off-date for getting on the roll is June 25th - just two weeks away. If you want to make a difference, and you're not yet enroled, that is your mission."
