Alliance Leader Laila Harré has welcomed the government’s intention to send a member’s bill for four weeks annual leave to a select committee for submissions and consideration.
“This is the next step towards four weeks annual leave and I congratulate Matt Robson on getting the issue progressed.”
“The last 25 years have seen a massive change in the workforce with most parents now working and the weekend becoming a thing of the past for a large proportion of workers. The fourth week is overdue. If the Prime Minister wants us to be more like Australia then it would be good to see that extend to workers’ leave too.”
