Ngawha Noho Removed June 30 , 2003

At around half past six this morning Duncan Kenderdine, John Hamilton and approximately- 20 - 30 police arrived at the noho(I am told by the Kaikohe police station that they were from the local area)and issued four protestors occupying the site with a notice to leave or be arrested.

They were photographed and allowed to leave peacefully- which they did.

The protestors were Thomas and Dee Dalton and Marilyn and Tom.

With some assistance from head of security Wayne Stokes they have also been allowed to take home home their belongings kitchenware, lumber used for the structures etc.

The concrete and outhouse have since been bulldozed and they seem to be making way for the tree planting.

There is a tentative meeting called for Wednesday regarding the continuation of any protest- Thomas Dalton will be in touch once those details are available.
